Teacher Guide to Respondus (LockDown Browser)

Use this guide to setup your Schoology Tests and Assessments to use the Lockdown Browser.

1. Navigate to your Schoology Course.

2. Create a Test or Assessment.

If you already have the test created that is fine, existing Tests and Assessments will work without having to modify them.

Please note though that you cannot use the Lockdown Browser for anything other than Tests and Assessments.

3. Navigate to the Lockdown Browser teacher settings page.

On the left hand side of the Schoology Course page, you will see your apps. You will want to choose "LockDown Browser".

4. Choose which Test(s) you want to use the LockDown Browser on.

Choose the drop-down arrow next to the test(s) you want, and the choose the "Settings" option.

Choose which Test(s) you want to use the LockDown Browser on.

5. Choose "Require Respondus LockDown Browser for this Exam"

You can as well drop down the "Advanced Settings". Here you can choose if you want the students to be locked in the exam so they cannot leave, Allow access to specific sites if needed in the browser, as well as access to a calculator if need be. Choose to save when done.

6. Done!

When a student now goes to a Test or Assessment that has LockDown Browser engaged they will be shown this screen telling them they must use the browser.
