Adding printers is a necessity for staff to be able to print in the buildings. While you should automatically get the "Secureprint" to be able to print to all the copiers in the district, you will have to manually add any individual printers that you need.
Follow the steps below to add the printer to your school device.
**If you are using a device that is not provided to you from the district, please use the page titled "Adding Individual Printers for Non-District devices instead**
1.) Press the Start button on your device and then type "Run" into the search bar and press enter then to launch the Run program.
2.) In the run program there will be a blank field. You will need to type into this field: \\printserv
a.) Make sure to include the \\ and not use // as that can be a common mistake
b.) hit enter after you are done typing
3.) A new window will appear and you will be able then to see all the standalone printers available in the district
4.) Find the printer that you need to add
a.) Usually these are listed by Building and either room number or occupation. For example, a printer in High School Room 100 would be called HS_100
5.) Double-click on the printer you want and it will start to download and install the printer on the device for you.
6.) Once it shows you the current print queue for the printer it will be installed and ready to use.
a.) Most programs will not show the new printer until they are closed and then reopen again to see the new printer connection.
